Dear Friends,
Chip was in a difficult accident this morning on Lawrence avenue in Northern Chicago. He was riding his scooter (with a helmet on - thankfully) when a van illegally pulled in front of him. Chip was thrown from the scooter, under then van, and sustained multiple injuries to his head and back.
He is currently in serious but stable condition at the trauma center at Illinois Masonic Hospital on Wellington. He is lucid, funny, and typical Chip in many ways.
Right now, visitation is strictly limited. His doctors are meeting in the morning, and we will figure out next steps from there.
